Saket Kumar has worked in investment management and investment banking focused on the energy and industrials sector since 2007. Before joining the firm in his current role, he was an analyst at Citadel Investment Group in their long/short market neutral hedge fund strategy, an investment Banker at Bear Stearns and a marine engineer at Anglo Eastern Ship Management. Mr. Kumar earned his MBA in Finance and Accounting from Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and a bachelor’s in engineering from Marine Engineering and Research Institute in India. He joined the firm in 2012.

John Musgrave has worked as an investment analyst in the energy industry since 2004. Mr. Musgrave previously worked in Citigroup’s investment banking division where he focused on corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions in a wide range of industries, including energy infrastructure companies. He also worked as an analyst for UBS Investment Bank’s Global Energy Group. Mr. Musgrave joined the firm in 2007, and his roles include research and portfolio management for the firm’s midstream-related products. Mr. Musgrave received his B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University.

Hari Kusumakar has worked in investment research since 2010 and joined the firm in 2018. Previously he worked as an equity research analyst for Tiger Legatus Capital Management, a Tiger-seeded long/short equity hedge fund in New York. Prior to that, he worked at Moody’s Corporation as a credit research analyst. He earned his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management; MS in Industrial and System Engineering from The Ohio State University; and BS in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Alex Palma has worked in investments since 2008. He joined the firm in 2013 to cover industrials and oil field services. Previously, he worked as a research analyst and trader for Capital Tactics Advisors, an event-driven hedge fund in Dallas. Prior to that, he worked in institutional equity sales for Merrill Lynch. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Furman University. He received his Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 2013.

Abhijat Singh joined the firm in 2018. Previously, he spent 11 years working in the field of quantitative equity research, first at UBS in New York and later at PanAgora Asset Management in Boston. Before transitioning to finance, Mr. Abhijat also worked as a data scientist for four years at leading IT services firms. He earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi.

Todd Sunderland has worked in investment and risk management since 2004 and had previously worked in the engineering field. Before coming to the firm in 2007 he was portfolio analyst at Spinnerhawk Capital Management. Prior to that, he was programmer and risk analyst for Hunt Financial Ventures. His engineering experience includes Carter & Burgess (Jacobs) and United Technologies Carrier. Mr. Sunderland earned his M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst®, a Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Market Technician (CMT), and a registered Professional Engineer (PE) – inactive.

Jon Abel has worked in finance, risk and strategy roles since 2004. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Jon served as Global Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis Manager for ECOM Atlantic, Inc., a global soft commodities merchant. Before that, he held several finance and strategy-related roles at media company Belo Corp. and its spinoff, A. H. Belo Corporation, including Assistant Treasurer and Director, Finance and Administration for Belo Technologies. Jon earned an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University, as well as an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Jon has earned Chartered Financial Analyst®, Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA), Certified Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Professional (FPAC) and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) credentials.

Frank Sbrochi has worked as an institutional equity trader since 2004. Before joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Sbrochi was an Institutional Equity Sales Trader with Raymond James & Associates. Previously, he spent 8 years with RBC Capital Markets in various trading positions. Mr. Sbrochi holds a B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University and an M.A. from The Ohio State University. Mr. Sbrochi is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT) and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Rajendra K. Rajput has a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from India. He has over 7 years of experience in software design, analysis, and development. Rajendra has honed his expertise in Microsoft Technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, and LINQ. Additionally, he has a strong background in n-tier architecture and has successfully delivered web and client-server applications using a range of web technologies like XML, JSON, Web Services, and CSS. He is well-versed in WCF, Web API, and has a proficiency in utilizing third-party controls such as Telerik Controls (Kendo UI).

Tyler Johnson joined the firm in 2022 to cover Midstream companies as a research analyst. Previously, Mr. Johnson worked as an analyst in the energy industry and has experience in investment management as a member of Titans of Investing XXXII. He earned his B.B.A. in Finance and Business Honors with a certificate in Investment Banking from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University.

Ishika Agarwal joined NXG Investment Management as a Junior Research Analyst in 2022 to cover renewable energy companies. Previously, she worked as a research analyst at TresVista. She earned her Bachelors in Commerce Honors with a specialization in Finance from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. Ishika has passed Level II of the CFA Program.

Priyal Agarwal joined NXG Investment Management as a Junior Research Analyst in 2022 to cover renewable energy companies. She is a CFA charterholder and earned her Bachelors in Commerce Honors with a specialization in Finance from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata.

Mark Rhodes has spent over 35 years in private client practice and leadership for firms including J P Morgan and Merrill Lynch. He has experience in building and managing private wealth practices and his more recent consulting practice business expands our capabilities in the RIA and Wealth Management area and allows us to be accretive to both investors and investment advisor practices. Mr. Rhodes earned a B.S. in Political Science from Missouri State University. He joined the firm in 2022.

Tim Muffley began his investment career in 1984. He currently serves as Head of Institutional Services working closely with consultants, corporate and public retirement plans, endowments & foundations, and other prospective institutional clients. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, he held similar senior-level positions in consultant relations, sales, and client service at Hillcrest Asset Management, Denver Investments, OppenheimerFunds/OFI Institutional, and Trinity Investment Management. Mr. Muffley earned his BS in Finance at The Pennsylvania State University in 1984.

Gavin Worthy began his career in commercial finance and investments in 1999. He currently serves as a client portfolio manager, where he consults with financial advisers, capital allocators, consultants, and investment committees regarding the firm’s investment strategies, security selection, investment process, portfolio construction, and the broader energy markets. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, he spent most of his career in financial services. Mr. Worthy earned his BBA in Finance with an accounting concentration from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and his MBA in Finance with a specialization in alternative assets & financial consulting from The Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

Chris Pusak is a Client Relations Manager for the firm focusing on key sub-advisory and retail relationships. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, he was a partner at a Philadelphia area money manager. Chris received his BS from The Pennsylvania State University, holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (or CIMA®) certification, administered by the Investment and Wealth Institute® with curriculum provided by the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Julie Beasley has worked in HR and Accounting for over 30 years. She joined the firm as an Executive Assistant in February 2006 and was promoted to Office Manager in 2008. Previously she spent over 10 years at Dell Computers. Mrs. Beasley attended school at Concordia Lutheran College in Austin Texas.

Jeffrey Engelsman has over 30 years of experience in legal, compliance and leadership of financial services firms. His specialties are in the investment adviser and investment company acts but he is also experienced with other federal and state securities, tax and insurance laws. His experience includes building and enhancing adviser and fund compliance programs, implementing new regulatory requirements, overseeing regulatory examinations, and working closely with fund boards and business leaders to ensure appropriate controls are in place and reasonably designed. Jeff Engelsman joined NXG in 2023. Prior to NXG he was the Global CCO for TCW, Inc. Prior to TCW he held various senior legal and compliance roles at New York Life Investment Management, Deutsche Asset management and Great West Life. Mr. Engelsman has an LLM in Taxation from University of Denver School of Law, a JD from Boston University and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania.

Blake Nelson has worked in fund administration and fund accounting since 2011. Before joining the firm in 2013, he was a fund accountant at JD Clark & Company. Mr. Nelson graduated with a B.S. in accounting from Utah Valley University in 2011 and received his MBA from the University of Dallas in 2016. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Katy Whitt joined the firm as a compliance officer in 2013. Previously, Ms. Whitt served as Vice President/Trader at Hester Capital Management in Austin, Texas, and as Trader/Partner at Charlotte Capital in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ms. Whitt has more than 30 years of investment management experience, including managing all aspects of a trading desk, proxy voting, operations, corporate actions, client servicing and SEC filings. Ms. Whitt graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor in Business Administration with emphasis in economics.
